FAQ

Below you will find answers to our most frequently asked questions

Do I have to use EZ Transfers’ services?

No, our services are not required for you to make these changes with oil and gas operators. We strive to make an oftentimes arduous process quicker and less complicated for our customers.

Why use EZ Transfers?

Our services provide a centralized location for mineral interest owners or their agents to gather and organize the necessary documents for making changes to their mineral interest accounts. We handle the administrative tasks involved in submitting these documents to the correct operators. This includes obtaining certified documents, recording them with local offices, and auditing all information for accuracy before submitting them to oil and gas operators. Once submitted, our customers can easily track all their accounts through our EZ Dashboard feature. We send notifications when the information is submitted and confirmed by the operator. If the operator requires additional information, our team will notify you and provide assistance.

How long will it take before I receive division orders from the operator?

The industry standard is typically 90 – 120 days from the date of submission for the oil and gas operator to issue division orders. Once our customer has provided the required information, EZ Transfers will immediately begin the process of obtaining any additional information required for the operator. It is our mission to provide the operators with the complete and accurate information in order to reduce processing time and prevent delays to our customers.

Will I be provided a copy of the documents after they have been recorded?

We will email you a secure link to download a copy of the submission file sent to the operator(s). All original documents provided to EZ Transfers will be returned to the sender once notification has been sent to the respective operator(s). For your security we do not maintain a physical copy of any original documents.

How long does a mineral interest income audit take?

Up to 90 days.

The operator contacted me and they are requesting a conveyance document?

Operators will require a document conveying the mineral interest to the new owner, recorded in the county where the property is located. If you have not yet obtained your conveyance document (deed, assignment) and would like EZ Transfers to assist you with having this document recorded and submitted to the operators, simply indicate that you would like for us to record your documents.

I have already paid to have my documents recorded; can I upload these documents?

Yes. If you have already obtained the conveyance documents, recorded in the respective counties where the mineral interest are located, you can upload the documents before adding to your cart.

When will I know the transfer or change has been completed?

For a transfer of ownership the owner will receive notice from the operator. This is often in the form of a “Division Order” or “Transfer Order”. The operator may request information from you at this time in order to verify your identity. You will receive an email once EZ Transfers has been notified that Division Orders have been issued or once any changes you have requested have been made.

If my transfer request is rejected, will I get a refund?

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

How will I get my signed documents to EZ Transfers to be recorded?

We will send you our EZ Return Pak, a document retrieval packet that will allow you to mail your documents to us for processing.
